Empties vol. 55

Empties vol. 55

I only have three empties to share this time, but they all deserve one final review, because each one was amazing! I’m still scraping the bottom on some of my other skincare, but during the month of June I finished only the three mentioned in today’s blog post. That’s still better than nothing, right?

SKINCARE:

1 // Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream ($260) – Possibly, one of the most luxurious products in my entire skincare collection. This glass vessel is from the previous generation of this cream, which has since been reformulated and repackaged in a plastic jar. I like the new formula too but the packaging feels cheaper for sure. What this moisturizer does for my skin is making it feel more resilient. It just feels overall more supple and soft, and bounces back from creases and nicks a lot faster. It feels both very nourishing and lightweight, if that makes sense? The consistency feels thin on the skin, but the amount of moisture it provides is just like a heavy cream would. Wonderful product, I just wish it wasn’t so pricey.

Do you need this? If we forget about the price, this is easily the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.

2 // Regelica Mandelic + Edelweiss Renewal Serum* ($78) – I like trying indie brands and this one stood out to me because their formulas looked like something my skin would love, and I was totally right about that. This serum has both exfoliating and moisturizing properties, and makes my skin feel soft and thoroughly moisturized. Mandelic Acid helps with breakouts and uneven texture, Centella and Panthenol provide calming benefits, Edelweiss extract and Resveratrol are fantastic antioxidants, and Squalane helps nourish the skin barrier. This serum is “stretchy” and applies like syrup on the skin, giving it a beautiful glow!

Do you need this? I would say this is more of a cherry on top than a need. It’s a fantastic serum that thoroughly quenches the skin, exfoliates, and improves radiance and texture.

3 // MDSolarSciences Daily Perfecting Moisturizer SPF 30* ($76) – I just love this brand so much, their sunscreens are some of my all-time faves! This particular one wears and feels like a regular moisturizer, you won’t get that icky feeling, flakes, or a strong sunscreen smell from it. The formula features chemical sunscreen filters, antioxidants that make it even more effective at protecting the skin from UV and free radical damage, Niacinamide for brightening and smoothing, plus lots of nourishing plant oils. It’s unscented and doesn’t leave a white cast and can work for all skin tones.

Do you need this? This formula is very cosmetically elegant and will work for anyone who hates using sunscreen. I looked forward to using it every single day.

It’s always fun to share the final reviews for products that I finished. I hope my empties posts help you make informed decisions when it comes to purchasing beauty products!
