IN THE BAG:

1 // bareMinerals Mineralist Lip Gloss-Balm in Sincerity ($20 – $9.23 value) – bareMinerals is known for their high quality mineral makeup with formulas that rival conventional brands, and often outperform their counterparts. I’ve long been a fan of their foundations, lipsticks, and eyeshadows, but haven’t tried much in terms of liquid lip products. News flash: this gloss-balm was gorgeous! It left my lips feeling smooth and moisturized and the color is super flattering. 5/5

2 // Milk Makeup Kush Mascara ($25 – $7.35 value) – This is one of my favorite mascaras at Sephora! I own it in full size and will never say no to sample-sized tubes. It has a more natural formula so it dries out faster than other mascaras, but you can still get 3 months of use out of a single tube, which is when the derms recommend replacing your mascaras anyway. This mascara gives my lashes everything: length, definition, and maximum volume. 5/5

3 // Tatcha The Water Cream ($68 – $13.60 value) – It’s always exciting to get a TATCHA sample! This moisturizer will work best for people with combination and oily skin because it has a very light texture and a watery oil-free formula that won’t leave a greasy residue behind. It used to be one of my go-to products before I started tretinoin, but now that my skin is drier, I need something richer. 5/5

4 // My Skinny Mask Australia Turmeric & Vitamin C Clay Mask ($33.99 – $10.34 value) – Love a good face mask and I’ve also been very into Australian brands lately so this was an exciting find! The mask has a really cool yellow color, it even looks cute in photos 🙂 It’s hard to judge a wash-off product but the mask did leave my skin looking a little fresher and brighter, although the effect was temporary. 4/5

5 // Mistik Hydro Hair Serum ($17 – $1.48 value) – This serum was designed in Canada to hydrate damaged and parched hair. Since my hair is very fine and flat, it wasn’t a good fit, but I massaged a little bit into my super dry split ends and they looked so much healthier! I bet if you have normal or thick hair, this would work wonders as an all over treatment. 4.5/5

BOTTOM LINE:

Is it any surprise that I loved my April Glam Bag? The brands and products were top notch and even the bag itself is well-made from a high quality material – I believe it’s thick cotton. Favorite new discovery award goes to Mineralist Lip Gloss for its outstanding formula and beautiful color, but Milk mascara gets the crown as the best product in the bag. The formula is fantastic and I can’t recommend it enough if your lashes could use more length and volume. Did you have a favorite product?

The value of my Ipsy April 2021 Glam bag: $42
